5 Stars Modified this coop to fit our needs

Yes

This is the most affordable new coop we have found and for the price a great value. We just moved our chickens into this coop yesterday. As other reviewers have said, it is small. We have 5 7 week old birds in this coop. They will only be in it overnight, as we plan to let them free range during the day. We made some modifications to this coop, so that we could move it easily. We attached it to a 2x4 frame. To that we added 4 lawnmower wheels that are bolted on and easily removable. This way we can move the coop around the yard and expand the chickens ranging area.

3 Stars Great Value for starter coop

Yes

We bought this last spring from Agri Supply when it was the only coop they offered. (they currently have three more). It was a great value, compared to other coops you find online. It was back ordered for awhile- we did not end up getting the coop until August- so we decided to wait until this spring to get chickens. It was very easy to put together. This is a great starter coop fo backyard chickens. I currently keep three Rock Barred Chickens in there. I feel four would be too much for this coop. I plan on building a run off it to get them just a little more room. It you are looking to keep 2 to 3 birds - especially bantams - this is a good coop. If Agri Supply had the other coops that they offer today back when I bought this - I may of considered one of those just for the extra room.

4 Stars Good coop but small

Barb from NC wrote (July 19, 2012):

The coop has good entry access and is easy to clean. Provides good protection against preditors and good ventilation. However, it is small and I don't believe 4-6 large birds could ever live in the coop. I have 5 Rhode Island Reds and I only use the coop as a place for the chickens to sleep and lay eggs until I build something bigger. During the day, I let the chickens out into a larger fenced area. At night, the chickens are cramped and have to use the nesting boxes to sleep in. If you intend on leaving your chickens in this coop all day, I'd say only two small breed chickens would be comfortable.

Nice little coop. Instructions not very helpful. I had to do some re-inforcing on some of the components.

5 Stars great coop for the money, love it!

Saw this coop at a state fair display and had to have it, there was also a larger one I wanted but it has not come back in stock yet. Really perfect for a few chickens in the yard.
