14 In. Single Moldboard Plow, 3 Point Hitch
Also known as a turning plow, due to the turning and rotating of the soil, this single moldboard measures 14 inches. When bringing fresh soil to the surface, it also buries old crop residue to enable healthy decomposition. The frame is constructed from steel and measures 1 in. x 4 in., and is powder coated for a durable finish for conditions out in the fields. This moldboard plow has a 3 point category 1 hitch with lift pins and may be used with a tractor that has a horsepower of 18 to 35.

I bought this plow to prepare small garden and game food plots behind a Deere 1025R tractor. The 25 hp tractor has little trouble pulling the plow thru sod on top of red SC clay. The tractor has a Limited Class 1 3-pt hitch, but the plow fits the links. I am not a professional farmer, so my set up of the plow depended heavily on internet sources. The user manual is a compilation of tractor and implement safety information - little technical operating instructions. Anyway, getting the plow setup to make a furrow with the right rear tire in the adjacent furrow was challenging. I loosened and moved the beam, moldboard, and plowshare assembly as far right on the frame as the top link allowed. It was working well until I it hit an object that bent the tip of the plowshare down about 30 degrees. Back to the garage for the OA torch and a 6 lb hammer to heat and bend it back. The plowshare, and probably the whole plow, are made in China using low tensile strength steel. When time permits, I will remove the plowshare, heat it, and do a better job reshaping and sharpening it. New plowshares are about $35. Other plows like this are $800 - $1000 + freight. The price difference will buy a lot of replacement plowshares. — Tedd from GA
