Cup-a Cobbler


  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 cup self rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup (or more) fruit (your choice, we used peaches)


  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • In your cast iron skillet (we used the 13" skillet to make our cobbler), add the stick of butter and melt it.
  • Mix flour, sugar and milk until smooth and pour into your cast iron skillet with butter. Do not stir.
  • Drop your fruit evenly across the batter.
  • Pop into the oven and bake until done (35-40 minutes)
  • Make sure you put a cookie sheet underneath the skillet to catch overflow!
