Using a meat mallet, pound the venison steaks until they are tender. Sprinkle liberally with meat tenderizer; turn and sprinkle the other side with meat tenderizer.
Grill the venison until it is nearly done. When it is 2/3 of the way done, start basting the your venizon with melted butter. Turn the steaks and continue basting until it reaches the desired temperature.
Meanwhile, melt 1 cup of butter in a saucepan over medium high heat.
Add mushrooms, a sprinkle of salt, and garlic. Saute until mushrooms are soft.
