I bought this rear discharge from Statesboro store way over 10 years ago. It’s time to replace the wheels. But I’ve Been through 30-40 sets of blades. It does a great job.
Bought a TC 590NSLD side discharge mower after moving into the old home place. The mower has been used every summer cutting about 3 - 4 acres of mixed grass lawn (tree limbs, roots, etc). I have replaced the blades as needed, changed the belts once, replaced two of the four wheel forks and now in need of a replacement for one of the quill assemblies, but it has definitely been inexpensive in terms of maintenance. In 1995, the local dealer did not offer a rear discharge version of the TC 590 or I would have purchased that version. If this one becomes totally unrepairable, I will most likely purchase the rear discharge TC590. A great mower for a reasonable price.
I have this mower for about a year now and I am very satisfied with it. I cut my yard and field and it, really does the job faster than my lawnmower, and less fuel burn also. I had no problems with it. The only change I would like to see is to have sealed bearings instead of having to grease them. Not really hard to get to or anything. Maybe I'm getting old.
Bought at local dealer. Wheels began to crumble early on. I wrote Caroni, who apparently contacted Agri-Supply, who replaced the wheels with newer ones of a tougher compound. The mower came with NO MANUAL, only a parts list. Agri-Supply sent a sort of a manual, but with no pictures. I still don't know how to adjust the belt. The tractor I bought at the same time came with a detailed owner manual. Why not the mower?
I bought this to mow 8 acres and the mower has been great. Very dependable and easy to use. Seems to hold up well but I do have to sharpen the blades 3 or 4 times a summer. Does a great job of cutting. I like generic well built products and this has been a great investment.
very well built has no idlers to go bad and cut belt. Simple desighn to tighten belts, cuts clean i have a rear discharge which enables me to cut next to fences & trees on either side of mower no side dicharge sticking out also you can back under fences and other objects tough enough to mow the pasture but it will out cutt any lawn mower ride on or walk behind, belts are easy to change and last for years.
