How to avoid Frauds and Scams this Holiday Season

Agri Supply® and Agri Direct® have recently learned that there is an internet scam/ fraud dealing with the Agri Direct® name and bank account. If you feel that you have had recent activity with your credit card or banking information, please contact Agri Supply® IMMEDIATELY! The phone number that you need to call is, 1-877-564-8669. Ask to speak with the loss prevention manager. We will look into the issue right away and ensure you that we will handle the situation promptly.

  • The Car Wrap Scam.

  • The Furniture Scam. Please read below on how this scam works:

    • The scam begins with an ad placed on Craigslist soliciting someone to clean an apartment. The price offered was $400/week and an additional $40/hour for any other services needed. After an agreement is reached on the cleaning, the "suspect" tell the person answering the ad they would send them a check for an additional amount of money. The check is told to be deposited and then they are to send the additional amount to an address represented as the address of a furniture company to cover the cost of furniture they had ordered.

    Internet scams tend to increase during the holiday season. To keep you protected, Agri Supply® has some helpful tips to keep you scam free:
  • Check your bank and credit card statements frequently.
  • Keep all receipts of purchases that you make.
  • If you feel there is a payment that was made by another party, contact your bank or credit card company immediately.
  • If you receive a call with an offer that is too good to be true, most cases it is. Contact your local authorities.
  • If someone asks you to cash a check and then pay them a certain amount of money from the check, contact your local authorities.
