This 4 inch by 8 inch Laminated Tail Wheel Assembly can be used as a replacement for many rotary mowers.  The wheel is 15-3/8 inch in diameter and 3-3/4 inches wide and laminated for long wear.

Specifications:

  • 15-3/8 inch by 3-3/4 inch wheel
  • Mounting holes on the rim are 1/2 inch on a 5 inch bolt circle
  • Comes with grease fitting in the hub
  • Axle is 3/4 inch
  • Axle Bolt is 3/4 inch with castle nut and cotter pin
  • Shank diameter is 1-1/4 inch
  • Shank usable length is 6 inches
  • Shank overall length is 6.85 inches
  • Fork has a 3/8 inch bolt hole for mounting
  • Fork inside diameter is 4.9 inches

This tail wheel shank size fit my Ironcraft 1206 perfectly. It seems like it is the same quality. The bolt size was 5/16 so you might want to have one of those handy.

The tail wheel was a perfect fit for my SQ840 Bush Hog rotary cutter. The tail wheel bolt had to be removed to grease the shaft and bushings. I had to purchase a 3/8 pin ,because the pin that came with the tail wheel shattered when I tried to drive it through the shaft 3/8" hole. I am very pleased with the assembly because it was a perfect fit for my Bush Hog!!
