Good choice as alternate to rotary mower

I bought this due to my land is rocky and rotary mower throws rocks causing danger and damage to anyone or object close by. I have used it twice with good results. Tall grass sometimes needed two passes but the knife blades don’t throw debri and are quieter so it’s a good trade off. Easy to set up, grease, and adjust height. Knife blades show very little wear even though they have hit a lot of rocks and stumps after cutting 1 1/2 acres twice. I still will use the rotary in a few areas where it’s better suited but the flail is the primary now. Very happy with its performance! Looking forward to trying the hammer cutters one day as that might take the cutting ability to 5 stars. — Jeff in Taylorsville Ga. from GA
