Have a new piece of waxed coated cast iron and want to remove the wax coating? We have you covered!
1. Keep the pot in the oven or on the fire to wipe off the wax in a few minutes, and taking out when the smoke clears, then clean with warm water and detergent and let dry naturally.
2. Dip oil with a towel and apply over the surface (both inside and out) of the pan evenly.
3. Heat the pot in the oven at 200 degrees for an hour.
How to Clean Your Cast Iron
1. Clean after using as soon as possible with a sponge or scrubbing brush.2. Dry the pot with a towel or over a small fire or stove.
3. Coat with a thin layer of vegetable oil to protect the pot with a non-stick layer to prevent rust.
To ensure the cast iron is not damaged or rusted in transit, we have our cast iron waxed. The wax needs to be removed before cooking.
