Drum Plug Aerator, 36 In. Wide
This tow behind drum plug style aerator will work to improve the quality of your lawn or garden. The plugs will aerate your lawn by pulling 5 inch cylinders of soil out of the ground as the drum plug aerator is rolled across your lawn. This aeration will provide better soil drainage and allows for the infiltration of lawn supplements. Additionally, the pockets left behind are ideal for seed germination.
The drum plug aerator is 36 inches wide and will hold up to 30 gallons of water. The additional water will provide more pressure to enable the 54 plugs to have deeper penetration in even the toughest soil. The 6 inch replaceable plugs will create a 5 inch deep hole in most soils.

I have 3 acres, all St Augustine, that I love to work on and make it look awesome. Aerating 3 acres with a Push Aerator was a real chore, especially if I wanted to do it 2 times a year. It would take me 3 days, as my aerator was a 12' path. The DR Aerator I purchased only made 3'holes and was kinda hit and miss, not real efficient. I purchased the 36' pull behind aerator with the idea I could pull this behind my 25hp Grasshopper Zero Turn Mower. It worked out awesome. I filled the drum to it's maximum and pulled it over the 3 acres at full speed. Almost 10 MPH. My wife said the plugs looked like a shower behind the implement as I sped across the yard. Now, I waited till 2 days after we had a good 2 inch rain. My ground is more clayish than loam, however this year I will be composting, so that should get even better. The holes made by the Aerator are deep, I mean a consistent 5-5.5 inches deep and clean! I aerated in early December and you can tell my yard is definitely smoother. Now I do have a 60' pull behind lawn roller too, but the aeration and rolling have really smooth the place out. I look forward to re-aerating the lawn in May and laying another layer of compost to help level it out..should be a pretty yard this year!! — Barry DeRouen from TX
