This drum style spike aerator is 36 inches wide to make your work more efficient. For optimal use, you can fill the drum with water (up to 24 gallons) to increase its weight. As you add water to the drum, the spike aerator works more efficiently since it can penetrate the ground more easily. Works well with a variety of soils, including clay.
