I purchased the metric set and SAE set at the same time last month. I received both and the SAE set was like pictured with the rough finish and plastic pouch. I won't be using the SAE set as I don't trust the quality. The METRIC set I am reviewing was different! It was a polished set in cloth tool roll with ASC name! Beautiful set with effort placed into the item toward fit and finish. I don't know if ASC has multiple manufacturers of this item or has upgraded to a new polished grade. I trusted the new polished metric set to remove drain plugs on my F250 and Dodge pickups where I normally use Matco/ Wright wrench sockets. This polished metric set is going in my good toolbox and the rough SAE set is going to be replaced by a set costing 6 times as much (want to match the metric set received by ASC). Not sure how your luck will go if you purchase this set but for me I received a product which is easily worth double or more the price I paid.
