The Forney 1/8 in. Mild Steel Welding Rod, 10 lb. is an all-position, general-purpose E6013 electrode designed with medium to shallow penetration. It features excellent arc initiation, soft and stable arc characteristics, low spatter, and easy slag removal. It is ideal for poorly fitted joints and light metal fabrication requiring low heat. This welding rod is well-suited for all types of mild steel applications where ease of operation and a clean bead appearance are required, including duct work, light gauge metal, and sheet metal projects. It operates effectively on AC, DCEP, or DCEN polarity.
