Freud 1-1/2 in. Precision Shear Forstner Bit

The Freud 1-1/2 in. Precision Shear Forstner Bit features a double-ground, razor-sharp serrated edge that slices throughout the rotation of the bit for less splintering and chipping, producing flawless flat bottom holes. This unique geometric design has multiple cutting edges that produce greater shearing action, allowing for faster rotational speeds and more efficient cutting. Unlike competitive Forstner bit designs that produce small chips and dust that collect in the cutting area and cause dulling, the Precision Shear design creates clean, chisel-like curls for rapid chip evacuation and extended tool life. Quality forged construction and an ultra-sharp center spur ensure accurate hole starts in hardwoods, softwoods, and composite materials.
