Freud 1-3/8 in. Precision Shear Forstner Bit

The Freud 1-3/8 in. Precision Shear Forstner Bit features a double-ground, razor-sharp serrated edge that slices throughout rotation for reduced splintering and chipping, producing flawless flat-bottom holes. Its unique geometric design incorporates multiple cutting edges to create greater shearing action, enabling faster rotational speeds and highly efficient cutting performance. Built with quality forged construction and an ultra-sharp spur for accurate hole starting, this bit excels at drilling overlapping, flat-bottom, and pocket holes. Steep angled cutting edges produce smooth walls and generate chisel-like curls for rapid, clean chip evacuation, minimizing friction and heat buildup during demanding woodworking tasks.
