Freud 1-5/8 in. Precision Shear Forstner Bit

The Freud 1-5/8 in. Precision Shear Forstner Bit features a double-ground, razor-sharp serrated edge that slices cleanly throughout rotation for minimal splintering and chipping, producing clean, flat-bottom holes. Its unique geometric design incorporates multiple cutting edges that produce greater shearing action, allowing for faster rotational speeds and more efficient cutting performance. Unlike conventional designs that produce small chips and dust that collect in the cutting area—increasing friction, heat, and premature dulling—this bit creates smooth holes with clean edges. Built with quality forged construction, it delivers extended service life and reliable precision for woodworking applications.
