5 Stars 60" Agri X Rotary Cutter

Ron from TX wrote (July 28, 2019):

I bought a Agri X Cutter from a different agriculture supply and picked up myself. Its a kodiak manufactured with Agri X name. Completely identical to Kodiak. Purchased for $999.00 no tax. This is a great mower and would be considered heavy duty compared to Howse, Lands Pride, John Deere, and Kubota. This is my third rotary cut mower I've bought in last 8 years and the best by far. My House mower had problems with gear box (bearing seals from PTO) and replaced every 6 months. I checked oil in gear box every time I mowed and greased the same. Maintenance is important on all brush hogs and tractors. Learn how to maintain your eqpt. before you purchase it will save you money. I use mine almost daily. It never is removed from tractor because its dedicated to this tractor. I'm truly impressed with the Agri X (Kodiak) mower. It is definitely better than the nearest competitors which are not as strongly built and well balanced on the PTO. This is the smoothest running mower I have ever had. This is noticeable the first time you cut with it. I consider my self a operator with my tractors because i've been on a tractor since I was 12 years old on a Dairy farm and I'm 65 years old. Kodiak or Agri X is the newest units I have bought and I'm impressed. I will try one of their 60" box blade next week only 45 H.P. 2/W drive Kubota. I will buy from Kodiak from now on.

5 Stars First time buyer of a rotary mower

This is my second attempt to review the Kodiak mower, this website is not user friendly. Besides my troubles with the delivery, and my opinion is the bolts/retaining nuts were tightened to excess for shipping, once I got it hooked up and running I was very pleased. But as a first time buyer I have nothing to compare it to but the research I did has this mower at lower cost than others and the construction seems solid. I mowed 5 acres losing the original shear pin and two grade 3 bolts in it's replacement. One thing I would recommend from the seller is to ask if chain guards can be purchased with the mower as an option (I don't think you need them if you're just mowing grass, but stuff will fly out when you least expect it to) and additional shear pins should be standard with the mower, we're talking maybe $20 for 5 so the first time user doesn't have to run 10 miles or more when he hits that first camouflaged rock.

5 Stars This is more on shipping than the mower

First, let me say Agri supply customer service was outstanding but this applies to the shipping method. I've lived in the Phoenix area over 50 years. I've never seen a rotary mower delivered in any neighborhood. So, I was surprised to find out that the delivery truck does not drive on dirt roads. This information came while the driver was in the small town I was having it delivered to. I asked several times if the truck had a lift gate, because I would be accepting delivery by myself. I was told it did, and it did but couldn't make it out to my property. Ok, I made arrangements to have it transferred onto a flatbed but another surprise, the 600 lb mower is shipped upright. What was I supposed to do, push it over? Come on, I'm new to country life but I'm sure if you have a paved road to property that requires a 5' rotary mower, someone else is mowing your weeds/grass. I put the blame on the shipper, not Agri supply. With that said, the mower appears to be a nice product. Haven't tried it yet but when I do, I'll give a proper review of the Kodiak.
