I just received my L-Shank with washer. I did not expect it to be red, but I like the color, anyway. My preference would have been for a black painted shank as all others are the same color, but a splash or red never killed anyone. The shank is solidly built, one solid bar of steel, bent at 90 degrees at about the middle (upper part is about 7" and the lower about 6") with a flat end with a specially sized washer that allows the cultivator shank to fit exactly in a molded groove and fit perfectly. You will require a flat head hex bolt about 2.25 or 2.5 inches long to fasten it securely. Plow bolts do not work due to the washer's construction. I installed the shank on my toolbar (the shank's diameter is about 1.25" or thereabouts), but could not try it out because we had 4 day of rain and there is too much mud to take the tractor out.
