5 Stars first time use - excellent job

Keith from VA wrote (January 13, 2020):

I had been contemplating getting a rake for my own property, but to use for road maintenance also. I chose this one overall for the price and value. The first use ended up being for road maintenance (about 1/4 mi.) and it did exactly what I intended for it to do. My neighbor used to use a box blade in the past, but it is no comparison to the end result of using this rake. In the process of dragging the road, it revealed a lot of gravel that was just embedded into the dirt and road edges. I rotated the rake to a slight angle to pull that material back in to the road itself and then made several passes back-n-forth to distribute all of the additional material. It also did a great job "filling" up the ruts and craters in the road, but it took some extra time in some areas due to it being pretty packed down. All said-n-done, it took about 3 hours, but that was the first time I ever did that kind of work and/or used that type of equipment. My tractor is a John Deere 1025 sub-compact, and it handled the rake and doing the job with no problems whatsoever. When I do the next 'evolution', I will most likely remove every other tine to allow material to pass thru more easily so as not to move too much of it around now that I have it pretty well distributed.
