Product Overview
The 5/8 inch by 3-1/2 inch Lag Screw Shield is used in concrete and masonry as an anchor for a 5/8 inch Lag Screw. A 7/8 inch by 3-1/2 inch hole is drilled to hold the Lag Screw Shield and the shield is inserted into the hole then tapped in with a hammer. Next, a 5/8 inch by 3-1/2 inch lag screw is placed through the piece being anchored and into the Lag Screw Shield. The lag screw is then screwed into the shield using a wrench or drill with a socket. The shield then expands for a solid anchor.
