Oatey 1 oz. Pipe Joint Compound

The Oatey 1 oz. Pipe Joint Compound is a smooth, soft-setting sealing paste formulated to lubricate and seal threaded joints. It provides tight, dependable seals on lines carrying water, steam, air, and natural gas, while also serving as an effective sealant when applying gaskets to flanges. Formulated specifically for metal threads, this non-toxic compound does not harden over time, allowing for easy joint maintenance and clean-up. It is suitable for a wide variety of plumbing and mechanical applications, but is not recommended for use on plastic threads.
