Model PL400 3-Point Spreader with Poly Hopper

I'm only working 2-3 acres and getting this is absolutely life changing. I was using a small pull behind an ATV spreader which was a major pain. Went ahead and got this and boy I wish I would have gotten this earlier and saved my money of buying something that was inadequate. I can put all the bags into this at once and spread fertilizer in a fraction of the time. Plus this thing eats through any clumps and didn't even hesitate. My old one would get clogged all the time. I was hesitant because of having to use the manual handles but I was able to easily reach them from the tractor seat. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

I bought this spreader 4 years ago to replace an older metal hopper spreader that lasted 5 years before it rusted through. This poly hopper is more durable than metal when using to spread materials like fertilizer. It is much quieter, too. Although it lasted only as long as the metal hopper, I will continue to use this poly type because of quietness, durability of hopper, and color/scratch/dent attributes over metal hopper. These units are used for my lawn care business, and so quietness and appearance are important. Either metal unit or poly still rusts out, because of steel frame and non-stainless steel pan and fins.

Love it ! But I clean it after every use . It has some stainless steel parts but some are just steel and require cleaning or you will have to replace them.
