Product Overview

Scratch grain is a treat for your chickens. A cup or two of scratch grain scattered will keep your adult chicken busy hunting for the tasty treat. The chicken's diet should contain no more than 10 percent of scratch grain.


Chickens do not have teeth to help break down their food. The birds take in pebble or grit to keep in their gizzards. This grit helps their powerful muscles grind down the grain so they can digest the scratch grain. Be sure to toss some grit out to your chickens as well.
