Series 4 Completed Shield to fit Series 4 PTO Shaft

I purchased this shield to replace the series 4 PTO shaft shield (triangle shaft) on my Howse rotary cutter that got boogered up. It doesn't seem to be quite as well made as the Howse but fit perfectly and works just fine. The Howse was more than 2x the price + an additional $50 shipping so I figured this was at least worth a try. You need a needle adapter for your grease gun to grease the nylon collar bearing but I like that the grease goes straight into the collar.

The price may be reasonable but there are no specs listed concerning critical dimensions for this product line to determine if it will work with your equipment (regardless of PTO Series size). The outer tube shield bearing ID fits the knuckle groove diameter for a series 4 shaft but the inner tube shield bearing ID is much smaller (should be the same size as the other end) and does not fit (see photo). Don't waste your time and money on these after market shields in an attempt to replace shields on older equipment. There appears to have been an industry change in standards which means all this new garbage won't work on your older equipment.
