The Southwire Armorlite Armored Cable is engineered with pre-installed conductors housed inside a durable, protective metallic interlocked armor. Designed to be significantly lighter than traditional steel MC cable, it is reverse wound to ensure smooth pulling and fast, efficient installation. The conductors are insulated with flame-retardant, heat-resistant PVC covered with a durable nylon jacket that resists oil and gasoline exposure. This versatile armored cable is ideal for branch, feeder, and service power distribution across commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-residential facilities. It is approved for use in power, lighting, control, and signal circuits, and can be installed in raceways, cable trays, fished or embedded in plaster, or concealed within building structures while maintaining UL listed firestop classifications.
