Not really squirrel proof. you have to make it that way!
Got two of them, one on a shepards hook, and one on a plant hook mounted to the wooden fence. they jump on top of the feeder and hang down from the top and feed. My dog loves to chase them off. Fun to watch anyway. — Oscar from NC
