Spreader Model 250, w/ steel hopper
I purchased a P250 in 2005 in order to spread lime & fertilizer on food plots. I still use it on food plots, but expanded to commercial soybeans in 2006. After 10 years of use, this product continues to operate as it did when new. I follow a simple maintenance process that includes (1)a thorough hose down after each use, (2) storage under shelter, (3) occasional grease to the single fitting, (4) annual greasing of the PTO shaft ends, and (5)a spray down at the end of the season with a lubricating spray (MPL from Advance Auto). Bottom line: you can get years of service from these spreaders with basic maintenance. — Chuck Moltz - small farmer, food plot growth & maintenance from VA
