National Drip Torch for Controlled Burns

Drip torches can be a valuable tool in both farm and agricultural use. When vegetation has gotten out of hand, a handy drip torch creates a controlled burn. Use our bright red, lightweight model by National® to set backfires, burnouts, and controlled burns in pastures, fields, and along fences. It can also be used by firefighters to control wildfires.

For your protection, this drip torch has numerous safety features built in. A specially designed breather valve ensures that air can enter the canister while the fuel is dispersed. The spout has a special, built-in fuel trap to prevent flashback during use. In addition, fuel spills are minimized with a combination of sealed outlets, oil-proof gaskets, and a breather valve. This model is bright red, DOT approved for the transport of flammable fuel, and meets the new requirements by OSHA (29 CFR 1910.114). It also meets Forest Service Specification 5100-614.

This drip torch performs well with diesel or stove oil. It is heavy duty, light weight, and extremely durable. Simply add stove oil or diesel fuel via its large mouth that resists spilling. Storage is also made simple; the burner is reversible so it can easily tuck away into a small space.
