Product Overview

This drum spike aerator will improve the quality of your lawn. The spikes will aerate your lawn by causing small slits as the drum spike aerator is rolled across your lawn. This aeration will provide better soil drainage and allow for the infiltration of lawn supplements. Additionally, the pockets left behind are ideal for seed germination.


The drum spike aerator is 48 inches wide and will hold up to 32 gallons of water. The additional water will provide more pressure to enable the 108 spikes deeper penetration in even the hardest clay. The 2-3/4 in. welded spikes will create 2-1/2 in. deep slits in most soils.Specifications

Remember to drain your drum for the winter. If you would rather winterize your aerator, add in ASC # 33470A RV and Marine antifreeze to prevent the water from freezing. This antifreeze is animal friendly.

Works well, buy a bigger tractor

I used this to aerate clay soil in my yard. The spikes fully penetrate when soil is damp. This product recommends a minimum of 24hp tractor. If you plan on filling the drum with water, 24hp isnt going to cut it, especially on any type of incline. If you have a lawn tractor, I would recommend getting the 36" drum spike aerator. — CJ from NC
