I bought this scope to move dirt and mulch behind my John Deere 4100 Compact tractor. I can back into a pile of loose dirt and completely fill the scoop. Dump action is a complete empty. I did add four 13/16 washers on either side between the bucket and the angle iron frame. As assembled the sides of the bucket were bowed outward, and the dump action had considerable resistance. Adding the eight washers solved that issue. Another modification it made was to the two large washers on the outside of the pivot bolt. When I removed them to add the eight washers above I noted both outer washers were bent. They bent because they are large enough to straddle the angle iron above the pivot flange. I cut about 1/4 inch across the top of each outer washer, allowing them to rest flat against the pivot flange. Even as a small 24 inch scope this thing will carry a full wheelbarrow load of dirt or mulch - and I never touch a shovel or push a wheel barrow. Four stars because for five bucks the manufacture could have installed two bushings and made sure the out washers lie flat on the flange. But, that aside, it works as advertised. I would definitely buy it again. — Ed D. Retired Engineer from GA
