This is the best salt block holder I have ever bought. You can feed either block or loose salt in it, and it is suitable for any livestock. I originally bought it to put in my horse stalls, but I use it for my sheep and goats also. I especially like that it is practically indestructible, plus it is easy to install and keep clean (something that feeders on the ground are NOT!). The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it will not drain if water collects in it. I had my husband drill 3 small holes on the bottom along the front edge, and that solved the problem.
